Bongo Flava artists Diamond Platinumz and Harmonize are at loggerheads in a beef for quite some time now. I can’t believe that the two had been a team in the past. Their differences keep on playing daily, with each trying to outwit the other on all media platforms.
Harmonize’s latest track Utamu has now added in salt to the injury. The lyrics are cajoling one to think of haters who do not love progress. Could it be a direct hit to Diamond Platinum? Critics will argue that Utamu is a dis track hitting on Diamond. The chorus speaks volume and hints at a love hate relationship between two warring sides. Harmonize even sings that he doesn’t need the deals and calls himself a seer.
The comments on Harmonize’s IG reveal this hit is a dis track and portrays the envy that the star thinks Diamond has against him. Clearly, its Konde boy’s stating that Diamond is green with envy of him which provokes one to dig on their split.
The genesis of their hate comes from their separation. Apparently, Harmonize had signed a 10 year contract with Wasafi Records but had to leave before then. This did not go well with WCB Wasafi label who demanded that he, Harmonize pays an exorbitant breach of contract fine. This led to a tag of war that saw Harmonize seek the late president Magufuli intervention. Since then, the two do not see each other eye to eye.
Media has reported overtime that Harmonize disclosed to them the dissatisfaction that led to his exit from WCB label. He stated that the handling of finances was the key that led to the turf between him and Wasafi. Konde boy alleged WCB felt he was a threat because of his rising star and fame allover Africa.
The kwangaru hit maker has also been on the record saying that the WCB record label had exploited him and all the other famous artists they have signed. Frequently too, the Bongo sensation Harmonize or Konde boy as he calls himself has produced music that critics argue shadows Diamond Platinum’s music.
Diamond has never come forward to reveal his part of the story. WCB has continued to work, producing hit after hit oblivious of the score set by Harmonize. The differences between the two Bongo mega stars continue to appear. For instance, in November this year Diamond Platinumz extended an olive branch to Konde boy and Alikiba for Wasafi Festivals, but the duo turned the invite down.

Alikiba asked Wasafi to steer clear of him, Harmonize did not reveal why he could not attend. Diamond’s manager Babu Tale’s response spoke volumes. In a simple sentence, the manager said Diamond asks that they stop talking of him, a clear sign that the refusal did not go down well with the WCB owner.
The war between Bongo F Diamond and Harmonize is not going down anytime soon, but we shall sure keep you updated.
