The government of Kenya has announced that the country will take work off on July 11 , 2022 to celebrate Idd–ul –Adha. This comes due to the fact that Muslims are about to celebrate one of the biggest meaningful days in Islamic faith .It highly honours the faithfulness of Ibrahim to sacrifice his son Ismail to Allah as an act of obedience

“It is notified that in the exercise of the powers conferred by sections 3 of the Public Holidays Act, the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and Co-ordination of National Government declares Monday, July 11, 2022, a public holiday marking Idd–ul –Adha,” CS Fred Matiang’i said in a gazette notice dated July 8.

According to Islamic readings, Idi dates vary from year to year according to the Moon. This is a huge step that the government has taken to let the Islamic community Celebrate .
