Estranged Mulamwa has been trending this week for all the wrong reasons. It all started when his now ex-girlfriend Carol Soni revealed on social media that they had broken up. Mulamwa, a comedy content creator and Carol Soni had been dating and had just welcomed a baby named Keilah.
The news of their separation spread like wild fire gaining momentum on all social media platforms. Everyone, including comedian Propesa, had a field day; but this did not auger well with Mulamwa. Propesa had posted on his Facebook page a photo he had taken with Carol Soni and what started as an innocent post became a bitter pill for both Mulamwa and Propesa.
The photo had captioned Carol Soni and Propesa in matching lime green sweaters branded king and queen. Apparently Mulamwa called Propesa threatening him to pull down the photo from FB. This sparked debate on social media and has been trending for a while.

The snap, Propesa says, was just a memory begging whether the he and Soni were dating? Actually, the Propesa added to another post that Mulamwa was transferring aggression and should tone down. Carol Soni asked, albeit subtly, that there were some people taking advantage of the situation and that they should give them time to heal.
In a rejoinder post, Propesa alluded he is a man of the people and whenever Mulamwa visits his house he finds many people, thus he, Mulamwa, should stop harassing him and his four friends. He even went further to ask Mulamwa to never visit his house in the company of a girl, as it is possible to lose her.
Many people took Propesa’s side, saying that the threats are far-fetched and that Mulamwa should apologize and stop threatening the Kalenjin king of comedy. While others corrected Mulamwa and Soni for exposing their dirty linens to the public. A section of the comments also thought the Propesa was clout chasing, asking him to mind his business.
Although Mulamwa has not answered to these allegations, his haters claim that his silence means he is guilty of the accusations.
To be fair, Mulamwa has really had a tough week while trending for all the wrong reasons. What had started as a public clarification from his lover has exposed him wrongly and tainted his character and brand. Just yesterday the comedian announced it had forced him to shut his music recording studio because of social media backlash clarifying that he was cutting his losses.

But Mulamwa is no stranger on the social media corridors. He has been doing his comic shorts on there and his relationship with Soni was not a big secret. He even broke the news of the birth of his daughter on FB and posted baby shoot photos which he claimed cost him 50000Ksh.
Could this bitter exchange mean Mulamwa hadn’t let go? Only time will tell, but as they say it in love and war, there is no fair game, but this too shall pass.
